Katy was born in
Washington,
D.C.,
and then spent five years in
Germany
before settling in
Minnesota.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from
Lewis & Clark
College
in Portland,
Oregon,
with a double major in International Affairs and Foreign Languages.
Katy earned her Juris Doctor from the
University
of Denver,
Sturm College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Katy competed
on the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team and the
National Environmental Law Moot Court team, and she served as
editor-in-chief of the Denver Journal of International Law & Policy.
Katy also earned a Masters degree in International Studies from the
University
of Denver’s
Josef Korbel School of International Studies in 2007. After law
school, Katy clerked for the Honorable Russell E. Carparelli on the
Colorado Court of Appeals before joining Wedgle & Kukreja, P.C., as an
associate in 2008. Katy is a member of the Colorado Bar
Association, the Denver Bar Association, and the William E. Doyle
American Inn of Court.
